You make the choice based on your lifestyle.

We did a test of our Sound Monkey Audio speaker and dipped into the water.  We wanted to prove that our speakers were indeed waterproof.  How much we didn't know.

We've hosed them down, showered with them . . . why not swim with them!

If you are looking for a quality and affordable Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker, look no further!

NFC . . . What is it?

May 15, 2015

NFC, short for Near Field Communication, is a short range wireless RFID technology that makes use of interacting electromagnetic radio fields instead of the typical direct radio transmissions used by technologies such as Bluetooth. It is meant for applications where a physical touch, or close to it, is required in order to maintain security.

NFC is planned for use in mobile phones for, among other things, payment, in conjunction with an electronic wallet, and for setting up connections between Bluetooth devices (rendering the current manual Bluetooth pairing process obsolete). The technology is promoted by the NFC-Forum.

So, you are adventurous and rough on your equipment.  For your gear that is not electronic, you expect things to get dinged up and frayed.

Climb up a hill . . . not a problem if your canteen falls out of your pack.

Slip down a ravine . . . your pants can be repaired with that tear.

Splash some water on your phone?  Where is the rice?  Why didn't I buy that waterproof case?

The same thing goes for our portable speakers since they are all the rage now.  They are no longer only for our desk at work.  We want to take them everywhere.  To the Beach, Golfing, Camping.  Let's just not get them wet.

So, when you read that a set of portable speakers is waterproof, what does that mean?

Here's a handy guide to determine if that set of speakers is built sturdy enough for your level of water play.
